Friday Five: Top 5 Sesame Street Characters

What?  You don't dig Sesame Street?  Elmo is not on the list.

5.  Grover

I should say that the old Grover makes the list.  If you have watched Sesame Street in the past few years Grover shows up as a superhero, aka Grover 2.0, which is not so funny.  Old Grover is cool though, especially this gag with the fat blue guy better known as Mr. Johnson.

4.  The Count

I like math and so does this guy.  I have always been a fan of his laugh.

3.  Bert and Ernie

These guys are awesome.

2.  Oscar

1.  Cookie Monster

  1. Solid list. Putting the Count at #4 seems kinda low, but I don't know who I'd bump down to move him up. Cookie Monster is easily the best, though, and it's not really close. When I play around with my kids and we play Sesame Street, I'm always Cookie Monster. My kids like to laugh like the Count.

  2. I'm with you except I'd have Kermit in my top five and The Count would drop to six. I was never a Big Bird fan but I do like his friend Snuffy. Can't stand the newer characters. Baby Bear? UGHH!

    1. Baby Bear is terrible. I do not mind Kermit the Frog, but always thought his character was better on the Muppet shows and movies.

  3. I have a unibrow and a fairly strait-laced demeanor, so I tend to be associated with Bert.

    1. I snicker so I tend to be associated with Ernie.

    2. Bert is cool. I think he is vastly underrated and adds a lot to the show.

  4. That Cookie Monster video is awesome. My favorite character is Mr. Snuffleupagus.

    1. Snuffleupagus was a strong consideration. I wish they used him more away from Big Bird, who is my least favorite character.
