2012 Topps Triple Threads Logan Morrison Autograph

2012 Topps Triple Threads Logan Morrison Jersey/Autograph

One of the best things about baseball is the fact that it is filled with colorful characters.  Players don't always have to be great to be remembered by fans.  Growing up in St. Louis, I often watch and listened to the hijinks of Whitey Herzog and Joaquin Andujar.  Both had large personalities that overshadowed their field performance at times.  While Herzog ended up managing multiple World Series teams, Andujar had a few good years and faded quickly.  Many fans in St. Louis still remember him Andujar for getting tossed out of the seventh game of the 1985 World Series more than winning twenty games twice and winning two games in the 1982 World Series.

One of the best personalities of the modern game is Marlins players Logan Morrison.  Morrison can be found daily on Twitter as a self-proclaimed "Tweet-aholic".  Morrison says some interesting that may not always be family audience appropriate, but his page is always worth a stop by for a fun read.  On the field, Morrison has slipped a little bit over the past year. but hitting in the middle of the line up with Giancarlo Stanton isn't a bad place to be.

This is my first Logan Morrison autograph, and while I am not a huge fan of the Marlins new color scheme, I love the black jersey pieces on top of the bright colors from the Marlins logo.  I also like the fact that the card is an on-card autograph and Morrison has a quality signature.
